Kalamazoo is Crossing Their Fingers
The American Express Open Small Business Holiday Monitor states that the small business entrepreneurs throughout the country are afraid they might not make enough sales this year as the holiday shopping trends have shown a decline since 2012. Only thirty percent of retailors were hopeful about making strong sales, which was 41 percent last year. The owner of V&A bootery stores in St. joseph , the south mall in portage, grand rapids and downtown Kalamazoo, Bill VanDis says his sales last year were a significant improve as compared to 2011 but this time he is less optimistic about the sales and wonders whether he will be able to equal last year sales or not. On the other hand, the government says the overall buying will grow by a 2 percent across the country. The merchants of Kalamazoo have their fingers crossed.
